The world’s first freezer for household waste continues to garner accolades from the national and international design community.

For the second time in as many weeks, the multi-disciplinary design team behind Petal has been recognized with a major design honor, winning a 2020 GOOD DESIGN® award in the Household Products category.

This accolade comes one week after Petal claimed the Gold Award in DrivenxDesign’s 2020 New York Design Awards on December 17.

Now in its 70th year, GOOD DESIGN, presented by the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and Metropolitan Arts Press Ltd., is the oldest and the most prestigious Awards Program organized worldwide.

Founded in 1950, GOOD DESIGN honors the yearly achievements of the most innovative and cutting-edge industrial, product, and graphic designs produced around the world.
